Sign (ok so they aren't so good but it was fun!)

Signs are a very useful part of society.
They give directions, they tell you where you are and where your going, they advertise and give you messages (Like gas is 99.9/leader), they warn you, you sing in and sign out.

But all signs communicate something!

WAAAAAAHAHA

I am planing something truly awesome for the scavenger hunt. Sign! hehehe! hahaha! lol! ummm yeah I'm laughing. (insert laugh here). Yesterday was Toms final day on earth. Poor kitty didn't even know what was coming. I wonder what went through his mind in the final seconds... was it OH MY GOSH there is a bullet flying at me! or Now I can finally get away from those pesky dogs I hate so much. Did he see Molly waiting for him? Did he feel any pain? That is the main thing... as long as it didn't hurt. I miss him but I know it was for the better. NOW Theo on the other hand... my parents gave him away when I was working and they didn't even let me say goodbye or see who they were giving him to! Those people! lol I miss him too but in a way I'm glad we no longer have cats. Though if we get mice I'm going to go buy another one! mice are worse then cats!

why do i need a title?

I'm running out of Titles, if that is even possible. Its because I really have no topics to talk about... yesterday was my last youth ever. I still don't know how I feel. Right now everything is so.... surreal. Like this can't be happening, the world as I currently know it is coming to an end, soon I will be an adult. My parents aren't helping either, not telling me important things , and they keep stressing all the expenses that I will have when I turn 18! Rent, Groceries, Bills, Car payments, Gas, clothes(which I buy now anyway), put away money for school, buying my DSLR(which I desperately need so I can start a portfolio so I can go to school). So much stuff to think about, I'll be off my dads health plan... so I have to pay my own dentist and optometrist and meds.I'm really not looking forward to it! I can't wait to Graduate but right when I do the pressures of the world will crash onto me... I think I'm gonna cry at grad. DEFINITELY!

Last weeks word was rambunctious, and I had NO IDEA what/ who to feature. most of my family and pets are loud, annoying, and/or hard to control (including me). So I had a hard time, and in the end I decided I'll wait until next week. we'll see if I can do better. Though I am PRETTY sure I can do better then nothing so it shouldn't be to hard!

May 31 my aunt had a bouncing baby boy named Rustle Elijah, lol his next youngest sibling is... 11 I think, poor kid. She's planing on having another one though so he isn't lonely. I don't think he will be lonely anyway. He will be my cousin Tiffanys baby and she wont leave him alone for a second. She's 15(almost 16) and she's wanted 21 children since.... for as long as I can remember. She'd always list them names she wanted for them but I would zone out so... that never got very far. It wasn't my fault though! 21 Children with 3 names each!! That's 63 names to listen to!! (I didn't even use a calculator for that one! lol) CONGRATS AUNTY LISA, I love you, and am glad everything went smoothly.

I got my calculus mark today.... not the final mark, I hope its higher then that, but right now I'm at 89%. That's just because of the HORRIBLE mark I got on my last test. 34/48... =( stupid sandwich theorem! I got home and I was like OOOOO YEAH the sandwich theorem! Thats where the final number has to be between the 2 limits! like 1<5,>

Fire drill!

So I'm in school right now and we JUST had a fire drill! the whole school had to go out side and ... oooo its pointless. This was probably my last fire drill ever =( awe! lol and YES!!! MY LAST FIRE DRILL EVER!!lol Well thats it for today!

HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYBODY!!

Grown

I was thinking about the word grow for the scavenger hunt.
When I was pondering this word I thought of 2 things:
how nicely the flowers have grown through the frost and flooding
and how my cats have grown up and grown old.
So my pictures for May 23 are of:
the flowers beside my house
Theo on one of the first days we got him
and Tom and Theo last fall (before the never ending snow we were cursed with!)

They look so grown up and I can't believe flowers can grow in Manitoba this year... our rhubarb is also ginormous! I don't really like rhubarb though... its good in cake and jam but. yuck!

Tuesday

Today is tuesday for all you who didn't know that. It feels like it should be friday, I wish it was. Maybe I don't lol I don't know, this week wont be a very hard/ busy week but still... This morning when I was eating breakfast my mom came to me and was like,
"Jess I will be at school at 3 o'clock so be ready!"
"Ready for what?" I replied, clearly confused, partly due to the fact that it was 8 in the morning and also because I had no idea what she was saying or why she wanted to pick me up. She just stared at me probably thinking LORD help this poor child, because clearly I was loosing it. lol Not my fault I don't look at the calender! Anywho, so she tells me I have an optometrist appointment so we are leaving at 3 SHARP. lol

I LOVE the optometrist they have such interesting things to read on their walls! They even have a slide show about your eyes and how they focus light inside for you to watch while you wait and its cool. They show you what happens in your eye if your far sited, if your near sited, if you have an astigmatism, which I do have so... INTERESTING! I think that would be an easy job and it would be super fun! I love looking at peoples eyes... so pretty.

That's the first thing I look at/ notice when I meet someone their eyes and their teeth! lol That sounds kind of weird but its true. Its probably because I make eye contact when I talk to people. I hate it when people don't look at you when they talk to you. Its very annoying!

Now on to a slightly more exciting topic, I know its hard to beat the optometrist, but here we go! ROBERT PATTINSON! Mmm... sigh... LOL ok. So hes hot, hes famous, he acts and get this, HE SINGS. lol He says he is book for like the next year because he is composing music for a movie and hes making New Moon ( the second movie in the twilight series). He has some other movies out too How to Be and Little Ashes.

How to be is an indie film made in the UK. Its comedy and looks like it would be a GREAT movie. Its about a guy (Robert) who wants to be a musician but it isn't working to well for him, so he hires an author of a self help book to come and help him get his life together. The previews look really good!
lol I think I'm in a quarter life crisis. Wait how long does that mean I'll live... 68... only... hum that's to short lol ok I'm having a pre-quarter life crisis lol. ( I don't know what to do with my life after I graduate). Then there is the movie Little Ashes. Here he is an artist, Salvador Dali, and there is something about a war and I don't quite know whats going on but I think he's gay and... I don't quite know. I showed my art teacher this preveiw and she was like "Salvador Dali!!" and so she wants to see it because he was like a famous artist or something, but I don't really know (the only reason I'd want to see this movie is because of Robert Pattinson). HAPPY TUESDAY!!

If that makes me a loser or immature so be it lol because I all ready knew I was! Any way here are my fish pictures from the Winnipeg Zoo. Those are real turtles and I even got some of the cast of Finding Nemo Nemo is hiding behind some coral reef plant stuff... I think it the enneminy or the plant he lives in.

Wednesday, May 13

Well....

Yesterday was my first day working... yay = ( lol. It went great, I already have some of the pluc numbers memorized! ( the numbers for the fruits and vegetables that you can't scan) Bananas are 4011 Kiwis are 4033 or 4053 bulk carrots are 1112 cut celery stalks are 1111 and .... I know some more but thats not very intresting. I helped some customers yesterday too! There are SOOOO many things to remember lol and I have to pack the bags too, WHILE I'm trying to remember to smile and not press the button to more the belt thingy with my leg and not to double scan and.... ask for the Co-op number and ... its CRAZY intense! lol I have another training day today and then I have an eight hour day by my self ( with someone ALWAYS at my till) on Saturday. SCARRY lol not really I think I'll do just fine...

MY IPOD WORKS AGAIN!! lol that was the bright spot of my whole week! I don't know if its because I put it in the freezer but its on again! lol (make sure its off if you're going to put it in the freezer)

Well thats it I guess! People should comment telling me if they get their milk put in a bag, because we have to ask and .... I don't see why people would want their milk in a bag ... maybe it doesn't really matter though

Here is a GREAT song/ video from Taylor Swift

Chicken!

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
CHICKEN
lol
ok so here are my chicken pictures....

These two are from the Hutterites (its the same chicken) mmmmmmmmmmm

Then there are yummy chicken breasts, good for stir-fry!!!

and then chicken strips!

I was going to take a picture of real chickens, but I was to afraid of getting wood ticks. I know their out and their saliva has all sorts of diseases. Like lime disease and so I decided against it, but I do know people who have chickens... they are cool yet VERY evil creatures! Waaaahahahaha. That is why all my chicken is dead.

the definition of love

This is a poem by Andrew Landon. It is kind of wordy and I think I could re wright it and make it better but then it wouldn't be mine and it wouldn't be his ... so it would be nothing I guess. It is really sweet and I hope my husband to be will some day read this ( if I get married) because its true. Even if you think this poem is written bad ( I don't but I know people who do) read it, please. There are some REALLY good lines and phrases it there!

THE DEFINITION OF LOVE
Love is a funny thing.
You expect it to be easy.
You expect it to be a world of roses
and laughs and perfect moments
that you find only in movies.

You expect her to
always say the right thing, and
always know exactly how you feel,
or exactly how to react to it.
You expect her to calm you down when you're yelling
or to chase you when you run away.

You expect so much
that you feel entirely, and utterly defeated
when something doesn't exactly match up to all your plans.

But that's the thing.
Love isn't a plan.
It doesn't have a certain beginning
and it certainly has no end,
or a visible finish line to those deeply in it.

Love happens;
it is so incredibly messy.
People around you can't comprehend
why you do the things you do,
or why you fight so hard
for something that seems to cause you so much pain.

Because simply, they can't see.
They can't see the invisible ring of insanity
that surrounds you when you're in love.
It's inconvenient
and painful
and devastating at times,
but we can't live without it.

What you don't learn is how hard love is.
How much work it takes.
How much of ourselves we have to put into it.
How it isn't worth it until we are complete and utter idiots about it.

Love isn't her calming you down when you yell.
It's her yelling, just as loud, just as hard,
right back at you, right in your face
to wake you up and to keep you grounded.

It isn't her or him bringing you roses everyday
or cute things that make your relationship appear more presentable.
It's right after a long fight,
that drains the life and bones right out of both of you,
and yet her or him showing up at your door the next morning anyway.

It's not her saying all the right things
or knowing exactly how to handle you.
So no, it's not her caressing your hair
and telling you everything is going to be okay.
It's her standing there,
admitting she's just as scared as you are.

You have to remember that with love,
you're not the only one involved.
You've unknowingly put your life, your heart
into the palm of an others hand and saying,
Here.
Do what you will.
Mash it into a million pieces, mash it into meat.
Or forget I ever handed it to you in the first place.
Just as long as you have it.

It makes reality invisible
and it erases all the lines
that we shouldn't cross.
Because love isn't about fencing ourselves in;
feeling safe,
feeling sure about the future.

It's about scaring the shit
out of every nerve in our body,
but pushing forward anyway.

Because all the fighting
and all the tears
and all the uncertainty
is worth it.
And it's a hell of a lot better,
than being 100% happy without someone to show us that
there is a world of a difference
between feeling 'happy'
and feeling whole.
